Women Are IT
Women Are IT (WIT) is a non-profit organisation providing a framework upon which both women and men in information technology can extend their network, expand their knowledge, and engage in open conversation and debate. We want to encourage women to choose information technology as a career and raise the status of women in Australian business, within the IT industry in particular. Our aim is to inspire women to achieve their career goals and reach their full potential at all levels within the field of ICT.

Collaboration Goals The creation of the WIT network has provided a structured framework now reaching a greater breadth of women in IT. Each networking lunch is based around a trending topic in IT and/or business. We strive to raise the status of women in Australian business, particularly within the IT industry. In order to increase diversity in business, women and men need to work together.
Resources Our not-for-profit organisation hosts events based in Melbourne where both women and men can extend their network, expand their knowledge and engage in open conversation and debate.
Extras The program facilitates conversations and debate, and provides a framework for women IT to extend their networks and expand their knowledge.
