Femgineer started in 2007 as a blog to share Poornima Vijayashanker’s experiences as founding engineer at Mint.com. It was simply a creative outlet where she wrote about engineering, then startups and entrepreneurship, and she began collecting a dedicated following. Her original goals—to write creatively and showcase engineers building awesome products—resonated with the community. She decided to turn the blog into a business to help techies level up their careers.
